Aniamals are Gods creatures as are we, and I personally do not believe they are less than I believe we are all equal. I love my pets as though they are human, I treat them as they are and to me and my husband they are our kids. I don't care what people think or say about it.

Prayer
I understand how you feel, I have lost pets and they are my children to me. All I can say is that if it makes you feel better say a little prayer for his soul. Some people do not believe animals have soul, I do believe it. When I lost each pet I could see what was left of the shell when the soul left and so I said a prayer to be with God. No I am not religious, I believe in spirituality and the esseance of any thing living. I have been ridiculed for my beliefs and that is OK, I still feel that all creatures of this earth feel pain, feel acceptance and for animals such as domestic pets, they know love. Not the way we do,but they know. Give him anythinghe wants to eat (if he will) and spend some time around him if you can. I do believe they understand kindness.

Sorry about your loss. One thought we had two animals disappear when they were going to die, the vet said sometimes they do that, they know & therefor they go away, I never found them though -it really makes you wonder. Sounds like you need a good batch of coon dogs!! Take Care Bonnie
