I’m With You
I am right with you. Rude cashiers are on my list but here are a few more:
--people who do not use their turn signal. Many folks have gotten out of the habit. It is important because other cars make decisions based on what they think of your intentions.
--Stores that continue to offer credit card and their so-called associated benefits when we are in this economy and so many people have lost homes. Is there no shame?
--People who leave leaflets on my door, porch, railings...same stuff every week.
--Junk mail, Junk faxes, junk email, sale of our information to third parties and invasion of privacy.
--cable offers that are scams. Most are.
--the inability of businesses to incorporate technology that will assist the customer. Why is it that two departments in the same organization cannot communicate or have the same information?
--People who use the handicapped bathroom stall when others are available. This is a tricky one, because I look relatively healthy. Yet I cannot use the regular stall because I need the grab bars to help me off the toilet. And why is it that we have a baby changing station in the handicapped stall? Double duty while giving Moms a good reason to take the stall?
--People who sit in handicapped seats on public transportation and do not give up their seat when some who is clearly disabled comes along. I do not use the train often, but a few months ago I used the train into
Washington DC. On this particular day I had to use my cane. No one.....no one offered to let me sit while in the train area (benches, though not marked for disabled), or on the train where seats were marked for disabled. I had to ask someone to take a seat. My legs were very weak and tired that day.
--Parking lots that provide better parking to healthy executives than for those who display the disabled tag. They already get paid more, they are healthy, so why is it they get better parking?
--Public building that do not offer handicapped access or have the access in an far-away area. What is the point?
--Politicians who use scare tactics for a political agenda. This is especially disturbing giving the ongoing health care debate. Clearly this is an issue that can only help. For those that disagree, do so on an intellectually honest level....in the right forum, and lose the scare tactics.
--Musak in the malls during the holiday season. I am soooo tired of hearing "Jingle Bell Rock" and I rarely make it to the mall.
I have more but will stop here.
