  I agree that Aspies should not be forced to mainstream into proms, etc. I do not make my daughter put on a dress and go to the prom just because. She hates it and I won't force her to hang out with the "cool girly girls." She is unique in who she is and what you said made SO MUCH SENSE. Thank you. My daughter talks with her hands and hangs out with other "nerds" who are her Christian friends. Thanks for reminding me to let her be who she is.
  
  The suicide thing was just a bad day and I cannot say enough how stupid that post was. She is 17, but I told her she will ALWAYS be my sweet baby. I' m sure that post made me sound like a lunatic, but just wanted to clear things up I guess.
