Conization in 89 for HSIL pap result. Recently had another HSIL pap result and scared to death that this time it will be cervical cancer. I am a single mother of 2 children. Update: I actually have vaginal cancer. Will be receiving radiation/chemo therapy because Dr. wants to preserve sexual functioning due to my age. This treatment would do that and still be as effective as surgery. UPDATE: Had to have Total Pelvic Exenteration 7/2009 due to persistent cancer. Happy to say I am alive and recovering well.

Recently diagnosed with vaginal cancer (squamous). First it was believed my HSIL pap result was my cervix, turned out when I went to gyno. for colposcopy, he noticed the mass (size of a nickel to a quarter). And from there to where I am at now, with the diagnosis. Will be having radiaiton/chemo as the oncologist wants to preserve my sexual functioning due to my age.
Raising teenage son who is autistic. He is such a great kid with an enormous heart! I am so lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful son.
My youngest son went profoundly deaf 2 yrs ago and permenantly lost his hearing. His is sensoneural hearing loss. His older brother is autistic, we have an interesting household, I am raising them on my own. I was recently diagnosed with vaginal cancer and going to start treatment soon. Needless to say that we have alot going on in our house daily. But even with all of the challenges we are blessed with each other and we keep each other strong.
