    • Close Autism / Autism Spectrum

Nick was just diagnosed on Nov. 29th Classic Autism, we are involved in a research study on the Hanan - More Than Words method that I am very exicted about - it trains parents how to help their child by teaching how the child communicates and using that in everyday activities to build on communication skills and social skills - I'll let you know more as I learn more. I am here to both give an recieve support as I go through this journey with my Little Dude - he's the light of my life :-)

      Treatments

      ABA Working / Worked
The ABA is working amazingly - Nicholas has made huge progress and his receptive language is now at age level and I know the ABA played a huge part in that!
      Early Intervention Working / Worked
Receiving combined OT, PT, and ST and sensory integration from his OT who is great with Nick. Nick also gets seperate speech therapy and there is a referral in for physical therapy so he should be getting seperate PT soon as well
      Patience Working / Worked
      Sign Language Working / Worked
Doing pretty good now - he can sign "more, eat, all done" and sometimes "milk" Very proud of him - he works so hard!
    • Close Sensory Integration Disorder

Nick - 2 years - Classic Autism and SID and is a Sensory Seeker. I am getting ready to begin a Sensory Diet for him. I would love to learm more to be able to help him.

      Treatments

      Hippotherapy Too Soon to Tell
Just started Hippo in June - he has his first session yesterday and loved it! He hated the helmet but once he was on the horse he forgot he had a helmet on. He stayed on the horse for the full half hour.
