    • About Me

I am a retired sales rep. who spent the first 10 years after retiring as a full time volunteer for MADD after losing a 17 year old son to a repeat drunk driver in 1987. The odds are unbelievable but in 2001 we lost another son to a drunk driver. I am married to a wonderful man who is everything in the world to me. We had a total of seven children, his, miine and ours and now we have thirteen grandchildren who really give us much joy. I love to read, garden, do counted cross stitch, quilt .

    • Close Gastric Bypass Surgery

Never had a weight problem until my 40's and a hysterectomy and a major bout of depression which I still fight but finally have the right combination of meds. I am scheduled for a proximal bypass in Feb 2008 and I am so excited by the idea of being able to move and do many more things in life.

Love shared is love increased; grief shared is grief diminished. This is so true when I can talk to people who are on the same journey.
