Dina died on Aug.23rd  eleven years ago in a tragic car accident. Each year as the anniversary apporaches, a part of me dies and another celebrates her life. When a parent loses a child, there is that big hole in the heart that can never be filled up but he or she learns to live with it. Life is never the same after this incident. One thing that helps me survive the pain of her loss is to dwell on what she left me behind. When I see her face in my mind, her sweet smile come into focus. I never forget her voice and how she often says,"I love you Mommy".

When I cook her favorite dish, it feels like she is with me in the kitchen cooking together as before. What helps most is her spiritual legacy...her strong faith in the Lord that trancends

every obstacle in life. She always says, 'Jesus is her best friend" who never lets her down...a constant companion wherever she is. The night before the accident, she left the verse ,"rejoice always in whatever circumstance we are in for this is the will of Christ." Then she quotes what the Lord promised, "in my Father's house are many mansions. if it were not so, i would not have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." So every anniversary, I remember these happy thoughts. For whatever reason, my heart experience peace and God's assurance of hope and eternal lile. I know without the shadow of a doubt, I will see my precious child again.
