Well, I almost made it! I was offically put on bed rest today. Basically there is nothing that is seriously wrong, but there are a whole bunch of little things that are borderline. The first thing is my blood pressure, it has started to run a little bit higher and actually was really bad at my appt today, but after I laid down it went back down. Next is the amniotic fluid level, it is not that bad .. right now at 7.5 and they like to see 8, so not a big deal but in combo with other items it is a concern. The ongoing swelling is not good, today they thought my face was a little swollen, I couldn't really see it but I trust them. I have not been feeling well at all, I am getting very sick to my stomach and having headaches. So.. there you go.. that combo is enough that they want me to go on bedrest. They are going to have me come in for NST (non stress tests) twice a week so that they can watch the baby closely which makes me feel good. I asked today if I would make it to my due date and my doctor said no way.. she wont commit to a date, but I am betting 2 to 3 weeks. They checked me today and I am dialated to a 1 and 50% effaced.. so I guess we will just see what happens.
I am really feeling ok with all of this, I just feel like I am far enough along that the baby will be ok so that is all I really care about. At my sono last week she weighed about 5lbs 6oz so she is definitely growing.
Anyway.. that is my story.. I will be online more probably as I will be bored!! :)

I'm right with you shanny. My doc also said it is unlikely I will make my due date. At least our babies will be fine if they come anytime. There is some peace in that. I'm thinking of you! Hang in there.

I am glad that things are okay and the baby will be okay IF she comes early. You rest up and take care of yourself and your little one. Thinking of you.

Bedrest is no fun but you've got a great attitude in the overall picture which I think is what makes you so great. Take care and I hope you start feeling better soon or have your little dolly in your arms. I get hormonal headaches and they suck so I really hope those improve very soon.

Sorry that you are on bed rest - but - at least if you do have the baby early she will be perfectly fine at this point. Hang in there - you're almost at the finish line! Take care!!

Ouch--sorry about the bed rest but it does sound like it's the best thing and that the baby is doing really well! She'll be here before you know it and bed rest will be a distant memory! Stay strong, you can do it :)

At least you made it this far! I think you and I are only due only a couple of days apart? I've been on modified bed rest now for almost 3 weeks and it's no fun but it's worth it to keep our little babies growing big and strong. Try not to let the time drive you crazy!

Sorry to hear about the bedrest, but the doctors definitely know when it is time. Glad to hear that she is growing right on schedule. She'll be here before you know it! Take care.

You are so close to your due date now that I am sure everything will be okay with the baby. I am glad they are taking all precautions and will monitor the baby a couple times a week. Get all the rest you can now because by this time next month you will most likely be holding your little one in your arms all the time! :-)

I am so sorry! I have been on bedrest since August 19 (32 weeks)! It is killing me! I have been on medicine to keep things under control but it doesn't always work. I have been in the hospital twice since being put on bedrest. I'm dialated to 4 and 80%, and have been there forever! I get to stop my meds next Tuesday and then it is any day. I hope you are not as miserable as I am. The only thing that hasgotten me through is knowin that it is easier for me to be in pain and deal with this than it my babies! I wish nothing but the best for you and your baby girl. I'm right there with you, so if you need to you can complain to me!
