My wife and I have been married for 4 years and through invetro, we have new born twins at home. I need someone to …
So we went to the RE this morning.. as I suspected the first thing he suggested was donor eggs. He does not think I have premature ovarian failure, but he does think my egg supply is low. He thinks I will never make it to 50 for menopause, but maybe 40s. We are going to do on more test.. the Clomid Challenge test. This is kinda hopefully going to give us closure on my eggs. If it is bad we are done with mine.. if it is not bad he said he would try on me again if I wanted. It makes me feel good that he doesn't care about his stats and will keep trying with me if I want. I guess I have responded in the past..
Now for the really interesting news. After I left the appointment I called my sister (she is 27 with one child) and asked her to think about being my egg donor. I just can't let this all go quite yet...
Stay tuned...

I think this is all great! Remember it only takes one egg!! Even though you may have a low reserve doesn't mean you don't have any eggs, I ampraying for Shannon with the Clomid challenge test!! And to have your Sis as a backup for egg donation is wonderful!!

That's great news!!! A friend of mine gave her sister her eggs (the sister was missing ovaries). It would be wonderful if she did that. In either case, I'm glad you've got a doctor that is not as interested in stats as he is in helping you! Let us know how it goes!!! I'm thinking of you!

Good for you, there's a reason (intuition?) why you can't quit just yet! I love the idea of asking your sister, I would be honored to do the same w/ my sister! Best wishes to you xo

you give me the strength to continue with this battle...i am so feeling like giving up lately. but reading you journal gives me hope. good luck and always best wishes to you. xo

I am soooo sorry, I missed this journal entry before. If I found out that I needed donor egges. My sister would be the first person I would call. She is my best and closest friend to me in the whole world and that's exactly who I would ask. I wish that we had an egg issue instead of a sperm problem because then I could make the call - and it would be my sister all the way. Good luck, my darling Shannon xxx

From the other side of the coin, I would give my sister my eggs if she needed them and I am sure she would do the same for me xxx
