Recently married (10/1/06), with Stage 4 Endometriosis my GYN send me straight to the RE and to InVitro. Had 1 fresh cycle and 1 frozen, still here. Work out side Boston for an RE Company, not an agent, yet.

I am doing good!! Started IUI #5 and I am pumped! Just went in for a follie check (day 6) and there is one at 1.2 and few others at .9 so she feels really good that the others will catch up. I am hoping for 4 follies this round..that is what I got in Dec and had my BFP so hoping it is a similar cycle only this one is sticking!!! I hear you with the weather..we have soo much snow and boy is it ever cold today -21...brrrrr I just put the fireplace on and got a green tea latte from starbucks so I am all set. :) How are you feeling these days?

Type: EndometriosisBy the time it was diagnosed my uterus was 13weeks distended, I hadn’t had a full nights sleep in 3 months, after the Laparoscopy (two Ultrasounds and an MRI later), my insides were so covered w/Endo you could barely make out the uterus, ovaries or bowels and it was decided that cysts had burst. That was almost 6yrs ago now, having controlled the Endo w/medication (Lupron) & taking the pill, symptoms & the growth has been minimal.
Treatments
- Follistim Working / Worked
- Worked stimulated meny eggs, RE was very happy with results, slight potenial for over stim after ER but didn't. Side effects were too bad, got very crampy and bloated.
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
- Having a brain freeze, this is "trigger shot" so yes it worked. Side effects - did a number on my bottom, very painful for a few days!
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- Worked, revealed a Hydro as supected but way down in last 5% of tube.
- In Vitro Fertilization Too Soon to Tell
- Had 1 cycle, did take but had embyro success. Multiple side effects, but all and all not as bad as anticipated
- Lupron Working / Worked
- Took it right have Lap for 5 months, worked, side effects weren't fun but weren't horrible either. Also took it at the start of each IVF cycle, side effects were light at worst.
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Somewhat Helpful
- During the few months we had waiting for Ins Approval, we tried naturally, the test had strong readings, but no PG.
- Progesterone Too Soon to Tell
- Used the gel version (Cornine?) with 1st cycle, isn't suspected to have contributed to Neg. Didn't seem to have any side effects, but hard to tell, when mixed with side effects from IVF in general.
- Yoga Working / Worked
- Wonderful, helps to de-compress and let it all go if even for a hours, forces me to concentrate on me in a more health calm manner, quites my mind and body.

- Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- Helped to give final diagnosis, but were able to "do" very little b/c of severity.
- Oral Contraceptives Working / Worked
- After 5 months on Lupron Depot took continuously for about 1 then took so I had met cycle every other month for 2 then cyst was felt and went back to continuously until 107 when started TTC w IF.
Open High Cholesterol
Strong family history of Hyperlipidemia. Only a few were "spared" until a about 5 years ago I thought I was, always lower than for my family I've always been VERY good, active, never smoked, drink very little, eat well (live on cherries & apple juice, very little red meat, low fat/no fat everything, love olive oil & cooking for myself, etc)Then a test found it was high (not terribly so for family but for me)Fact I have Endo, which BCP is best "medicine" doesn't help, and now I'm TTC w/ IF.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- Always helps, never hurts!
- Lipitor Working / Worked
- Was o it for a brief time, did help. Will go back on after children.
- Physical Exercise Working / Worked
- Try, harder the busier I am, really should do more.
- Red Wine Working / Worked
- Don't "know" that it works.
Open Pregnancy
Just turned 35 this summer with Stage 4 Endo and finally got my BFP, due June 3, 2009 and couldn't BE happier!
