Yay for Friday!! I'm so happy it's Friday! YAYAY!!!
The good news from yesterday is that the tummy behaved! Yesterday was a good day tummy-wise. More Yay!
Ruby Dee also had a good day, tummy-wise, with two completely normal poops! Triple Yay! I think she had a good one this morning, too. Crossing fingers that we're about back to normal!
So, tummies are doing well, now we just need to talk the rest of me into doing well, too. Before yesterday, I was having a lot of lower back pain, and my left hip was acting up from babying the left knee. Yesterday, it all switched around on me. The left hip was still there, just not as bad, and my entire right hip area just got very, very sore. It was the parts you lay on if you lay on your side. The outside muscles of my right hip. My walking was terrible, and terribly painful. If this continues, I will have to start using my cane to keep from injuring more muscle babying it. Arount 3:00, nerve pain in my hands about knocked me out, too. Sometimes taking a walk and getting the blood moving can help nerve pain a bit, so I tried that, but all it did was aggravate the right hip, which aggravated the left hip, so I was practically zombie-like by the time I got all the way around the building and back to my desk. One trip around the building is probably about a quarter of a mile, so I felt really ridiculous about it all. I had to switch hands using the mouse to finish working, and kept switching back and forth because touching the mouse and making it so work got almost excrutiating. I had previously planned on working late last night, but I just barely made it to 3:30. That last half hour was ridiculous. So, I headed home.
Hubby had sent me an email that the new George Foreman grill that we ordered arrived yesterday, so I decided to stop by a grocery store on the way home to get hamburger fixin's. I wasn't looking forward to cooking in any way, shape, or form, but at least hamburgers aren't too difficult. On the way to the produce section for some lettuce and tomatoes, I saw their salad bar, and I heard the lightbulb over my head switch on with a "BING!" I got salad for both of us, some Oreo fluff for me, and some fruit for Hubby (there wasn't anything forbidden there that he would have liked, so he got fruit). Very good stuff! No cooking, no cleaning, I like it! It was a little expensive at $5.99/pound (and I make heavy salads), but worth it!
I also picked up some hamburger fixin's, so we will be trying out the new toy tonight with hamburgers. I got it out of the box, and it is pretty! It has removable plates for easy cleanup! Woo Hoo!
Side note: Since Veteran's Day is Wednesday, and I have off from work, next week I'm going to try working 7-hour days the rest of the week. I'm considering asking the boss lady if four 7.5-hour days per week would be an acceptable schedule. I always thought cutting back hours per day would make a difference in my missed days, and it hasn't. Perhaps if I have a free day on Wednesdays to recover from Monday and Tuesday, then the longer days will be easier. We'll see!
Today's schedule: work, massage, pick up the Young'Un, have her clean a bit while I make dinner, figure out what all she's doing to earn her money this weekend, watch TV, go to bed. Assessment of my condition: Although I slept well last night, I could always use more. Hands are pretty sore with nerve pain this morning, and the hips are playing silly buggers with me. If things get better, no problem. If things get worse, it's a problem. I'm right on the edge, and could go either way. We'll see!
Happy Friday!

I give you so much credit Michelle, for doing all you do with that nerve pain bothering you so much! I don't know. I guess keeping busy is probably the best thing to do! I'm amazed at the hours you put in with lack of sleep and your hands hurting all the time!! You are a driven woman, that's for sure!!
Glad you reminded me that Wed. is a holiday...bank will be closed. I have to think of these things way ahead of time....it's the "duh" factor!
Dr Oz had a show on this week about buying produce in the supermarkets!! What a hoot. They had cameras going in the produce isle! You would not believe what some people do there! It was actually disgusting, but you can imagine I guess. We all buy grapes, and apples and rolls from bins....but if you saw how many people touch those fruits and breads with dirty hands, wiping their kids noses first, UGH, it was gross! Point being, just remember to buy things you can wash before eating! One woman actually climbed on all fours onto a vegetable stand and her shoes were in the veggies!! GROSS! I think America had a hard time watching that show...OH, and the bins where you buy candies or rolls, whatever...he showed the number of broken fingernails at the bottom of one of those bins! Good grief...people are pigs! Be careful in the produce isle!!
I do hope you have a good Friday Michelle, and you and the Young'Un accomplish what you need done!!
