Ooger Booger. This week is really taking it out of me. Apparently the exhaustion Tuesday night from all the non-routine stuff that happened during the day was not the only consequence of my bad choices. I just hope I've paid the piper now, and can look forward to a better day today!
Yesterday, I got to work, and discovered that half the office was heading to lunch at the Olive Garden to celebrate birthdays. I don't always go along on these things, but it's been years since I've been to Olive Garden, so I went this time. I had salad, a couple bits of calimari, a piece of flat bread (a couple people ordered appetizers), and seafood alfredo. Good meal, all around! As we sat there waiting for the check, I realized how very full I was. And then I realized that being that full wasn't a good thing. By the time the check came, the stomach ache had started. At this point, all I could do was hope it waited until I got back to the office. I didn't drive, so I had to put up with taking the long route back to the office, and trying not to show everyone exactly how uncomfortable I was. And boy, was I uncomfortable. As soon as we got outside the restaurant, the stomach cramps started, and the drive was filled with the worst tummy pain I've ever had (probably because I had to hold in what really needed to come out). I managed to keep it to myself, but hit the bathroom as soon as I got to the office. And there I stayed. I ventured out every so often, tried to get something done, and headed back in. After not quite an hour of this, I gave up and came home.
I believe that this would have happened no matter what I had eaten for lunch, but eating the big meal just made it a bit worse. I'm sticking to small, predictable meals on a regular schedule for a few days, I think. And no McDonald's!
I came home, and tried to nap on the sofa, but just wasn't sleepy enough. I was exhausted, but not sleepy. So, I did nothing for the rest of the day. I took another Simply Sleep last night to make sure I slept, and I did. I have a cat scratch on my right wrist, but only a vague recollection of a clawed cat in the bed last night. I have hope that lunch yesterday won't cause a repeat of yesterday's bathroom games today, but we'll just have to see. Taking it easy is the order of the day!
Time to move if I'm gonna move, cuz it's time to make the doughbutts. Happy Thursday, everyone!

I keep forgetting the Ruby Dee updates. This morning we have a good poop. I have hope!

I find eating out at restaurants very - depressing. I can NEVER eat the whole meal, and even though I can bring the rest home, I'm just sitting there while everyone else is still eating. If I'm with my husband not a problem, but with Pearl Sr. and entourage, they don't know how to be discreet in public. They're either critical or overboard Mother Hen.
I hope the good Ruby Dee updates continue.
