Im 53 years old, divorced with 2 grown children. I was diagnosed with graves disease in early Nov of 2007. My symptoms began 2 weeks before diagnosis. My eyes have been the biggest challenge. I am presently in remission with my Graves and TED. I still suffer from some muscle aches but other that I feel great. My good days far out weight my bad days.

Hi Kathy! Thanks so much for thinking of me! :) I really appreciate it. I'm hanging in there- thanks for asking. I have bad and good days and am trying to learn to take one day at a time. How are you?
Thanks so much Kathy!!!Same goes for you being positive for the people seeking remission!!! There tends too so much negative crap here and its really disheartening!!! At least the positive continues to outweigh the BS!!!! All the best to you!!! Hugs, Marci
Like the new picture. I hope you are doing well. I don't get much chance to be on here. I thought this time of year would be slower but it's not. Wishing you a great week.
Take care
Trisha

Im 53 years old and was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism due to graves in Nov 07. Its now April 09 and Im in remission with both Graves and TED. I have been off meds since Jan 09. Im hoping remission will stick.
I have graves disease but often slip into hypo and am looking for info on this.
Starting over at the age of 53 and afraid my life will be loveless for the rest of my life. Have since realized life is what you make it. I have a lot to offer especially to myself!
I am now divorced for the second time to the same man. I did my best to make it work but could not do it alone. I have walked away knowing I did all I could do. I bought a wonderful little house by the ocean where I live with my 2 dogs and cat. Life is good. I hope some day I will meet someone who will appreciate who I am and love me for it.
