I am a 41 year old police officer and teacher. I have one child of my own and three step kids as well as a gorgeous wife. My wife suffered a brain anyuerism a couple of years ago and became addicted to opiates. She has recently completed a six week rehab and is doing well.

If you ever need to talk, I'm sort of muddling through this myself, but I understand how much it hurts...

All of these drugs are helping us stay alive. hang in there. However, always let you doctor know when you are experiencing anything out of the ordinary. As with me, they can take away the uncertainty when they explain why I am reacting to it the way I am. God Bless

MY wife is addicted to opiates. She is a registered nurse and has lost two good jobs in the last two years. The last job loss was on 11-25-2007. Since that time she has entered rehab and is still there.
