Thank you Doug, for answering. You are one of the few that understand these gastric associations with AF. Most doctors don't. Like you, I can't push on the area around or near my heart and trigger my own AF episode. I understood the pressure that you stated from working on the chair. If I just lie on my stomach or left side it can provoke it, also. Even leaning with my chest accidently up against the kitchen counter can provoke it or bending over doing work outside. We constantly have to be aware of what we are doing, don't we? I am going to try the vitamin regime thing that you mentioned. I have to take my Tenormin every day and baby aspirin, though along with the vitamins. I can't get away without a betablocker, I have tried. I don't drink, I am not overweight (only 115), but I do have a great deal of stress in my life. My mother recently passed away and we have other medical illnesses in the family going on right now. I am sure stress is a big factor. Thank you for you support and I wish you continued good health. Elizabeth

High Five
Thanks for the info...I too suffer from lone AFIB. I am taking meds to help but I also changed my diet and excercise which helps alot. The wheat allergy is interesting.

Close Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)
Had to take propafenone, 150mg every 8 hrs initially. Found, thru experimentation that the excessive adrenal which triggered the LAF was linked to a newly developed wheat alergy. I eliminated wheat from diet, went to 2 pills at 12 hr intervals for 2 weeks, then 1 pill a day for 2 weeks, then now only a pill in pocket. Need only a pill every 3 to 6 weeks or so, depending on how good I am. Also added Niacin 500mg, Magnesium, CoQ10 & 660mg Calium & Vit. D, C & E. Much better now.
