I'm a 24 year old director of a daycare. I live with my boyfriend of 3 years, we just bought a new house and will be getting married October 25th. We have 3 dogs, Libby (8 yr old Great Dane) Eve (4 yr old Schipperke) and our baby Maggie (7 month old Boston Terrier).

Have been thinking about you all week. I have a concert, two dress rehearsals, one caroling event, and food pantry this week, so been really busy. Sorry that have not been online to much this week. Hope you are OK!

I was first diagnosed with celiac at the age of 53. Be happy that you have been diagnosed at a young age. I went thru most of my life being "sick." It does get easier and better especially when you start feeling better. I have learned to always carry snacks/food with me when going out with friends. And the bottom line is this: We can control our destiny by watching what we eat. Not so if you have many of the other diseases that are out there, cancer, multiple sclerosis, etc. Take care.

I KNOW HOW THAT IS MY MOTHER IN LAW IS APUERTO RICAN OLD SCHOLL WHO THINKS IF YOU DON'T SAY YES TO HER FOOD SOMETHINGS WRONG IT'S LIKE REPEATING MYSELF EVERYTIME WE GO OVER AND SOMETIMES WELL ALMOST EVERY B DAY PARTY HAS PIZZA YEAH THER HAVING PIZZA AND I HAD BETTER EATEN SOMETHING BEFORE OR LEAVE SOON AFTER CAUSE I'M STARVING THEN MY HUSBAND WHO I KNOW CARES VERY MUCH CAN JUST FORGET HOW HARD IT IS TO FEED A FAMILY OF 5 WITH ALL DIFFERENT LIKES OR DECIDE ON A RESTERAUNT

Close Celiac Disease
I found out 3 years ago that I have Celiac Sprue and am really struggling still to stick to the diet and explain to my friends and family my food restrictions.
Treatments
- Gluten Free Diet Working / Worked
- It works when I stick to it. Often I found out later that what I thought I could eat I couldn't, only too late.
Close Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI was diagnosed with asthma 5 years ago and with medication am doing pretty well.
Treatments
- Advair Working / Worked
- I am put on this off and on when I have flare ups. It works but the powder makes me gag.
- Albuterol Somewhat Helpful
- I try not to use my inhaler as it makes my heart race, I get dizzy and light headed and shaky.
- Singulair Working / Worked
- I've been on this for 5 years now, no complaints, but did not help with my allergies as it claims.
