      Asacol Somewhat Helpful
      I dont feel these work for me. Have been on them since january.
      Azathioprine Not Working
      Had to stop taking this while im having chemo, apparently works in the same way to supress the immune system which i dont want!
      Codeine Working / Worked
      Great for pain relief!
      Folic Acid Working / Worked
      Prednisone Somewhat Helpful
      Slowly getting de-creased again, down to 10mg per day, like a roller coaster with these! Side effects are horrible though!
      Probiotics Working / Worked
      I was drinking the yog drinks of the probiotics and it seemed to help, though while im on chemo ive been told not to drink them anymore, something to do with live bacteria! Will start up again though when chemos over!
      Surgery Working / Worked
      Had op in feb 2007, now have a stoma to rest the bowel. Was hoping to have the op reversed, they did say after 6 months...a yr and half later i still have it!

      Diagnosed not long before xmas...started treatment on the 14th Jan 2008. A 5 week treatment course of radiotherapy 5 days a week and chemotherapy 1 day a week.

      Chemotherapy Too Soon to Tell
      Cisplatin Too Soon to Tell
      Felt a little bit sick, but have only had one course of this.
      Radiotherapy Too Soon to Tell
      Had 5 weeks of this, time will tell though.

      I lost my mum and best friend to bowel cancer 9 years ago! Its still hard! I still miss her soo much! Id give anything to be hugged by her once again.

    • Open Menopause

      I am going through this early due to radiotherapy/chemo to treat cervical cancer. Hot flushes and night sweats are getting too frequent now im going to have to get something to help me out! They did mention HRT, so we'll see!
