Me and My Pulminary Embolism
I have been meaning to write everything down that has happened in the last week but had nowhere to put it all. My blog is not really known/read by …
I am a 21-year-old college senior studying Anthropology and Writing. Originally from Ohio, I moved to New York for school and never want to go back. I am blessed to have in my life an amazing and loving family and group of friends, as well as a boyfriend who has seen me through everything good and bad in the last two years. After college I plan on taking a year or two off, then hopefully attending grad school to get my PhD in anthropology. Everything is kind of up in the air right now.

As a fellow college senior (looking to grad school also) and recently diagnosed with a PE I feel that we have a lot in common. When I read your blog, it seemed like I was reading parts of my own story. We are both lucky to have friends, boyfriends, and mothers who are so supportive. If you ever need to talk about school, PEs, anything let me know.
After ignoring chest pain for 2-3 weeks (thought it was stress related) I went to the ER in Oct 09 and was diagnosed with blood clots in my lungs. I was hospitalized for 2 nights then released. They think the cause was most likely birth control pills. So far, it's been a nightmare... I'm in need of support and to know others who have been through what I'm going through.
