I had my stroke at age 55. It is 6 years now. Things are almost normal. We have worked through all sorts of problems. i guess taking baby steps or one step at a time is key.my husband is my caretaker and he has been just great. he takes on my recovery as a duty. just like in the NAVY. he learns what has to be done and does it efficiently ,thoroughly and with a sense of humor.so when i fall he calls general quarters all good men to their station.and if i need to be rescued from going overboard. he loks at the situation and plans how to handle it
I HAD MY FIRST SEIZURE AFTER A CRANIOTOMY FOR STROKE. I TAKE DILANTIN. THINGS HAVE BEEN OK I FIND DILANTIN LEVELS CAN BE SENSITIVE TO WEIGHT GAIN AND LOSS ALSO SENSITIVE TO ACTIVITY LEVELS. I HAVE REQUESTED MY DOCTOR TAKE MORE FREQUENT BLOOD TESTS TO KEEP ME ON AN EVEN DOSE. RIGHT NOW I AM TRYING TO STABALIZE DILANTIN LEVEL AS IT IS HIGH I THINK IT IS DUE TO FACT I HAD AN INJURY AND MY ACTIVITY LEVEL CHANGED
I am getting overweight since the stroke and medications. i'm looking for an exercise program that i can do from the wheelchair
Ihad a stroke 6 years ago. my husband has tried to recreate a nursing home safety and care for me and continue to work. of course this is a crazy amount of things to do. our daughter came in from CAand had a breakdown so now he has a daughter and wife to take care of and to get to appts. he is handling his stress by going to the pub I am unable to get through to either of them but only inflame the situation

i want to ask a question. my friend who has stroke same as me. filed for divorce. she was very sad and vulnerable the lawyer was young and a charmer.he set up a long and difficult divorce. the husband had to sell his beloved house. the problem .my friend died suddenly. her estate was left in the name of the attorney. somehow it doesn't seem right that the husband lost everything his wife, house ,reputation.has anyone else experienced their attorney being named as beneficiary inwill? basically i'm sad at the loss of a friend. i also feel the husband got a losey break and was ripped off
