The fine dining establishment I work at was entered into a competition that took place last week.
We spent 3 weeks preparing for it - trying recipes and ideas for plating/presentation.
Monday was our cook off date.
We took first place overall with our Chicken Ballotine entree (served with a variety of roasted and pureed winter root veggies). We took second overall in the appetizer category with our Sweet Potato Crabcakes. We also took second overall in the breads category with our Olive Batard (our sesame semolina got an honorable mention. ). We also took first overall with our dessert of White Chocolate Bread Pudding with White Chocolate Rum Sauce.
We missed getting the Best Overall in Show trophy and $1000 by 1 single point!!!!! GAHHH!!!!
We still got our smaller trophies to display throughout the dining areas though. YAY!






Yay!!! This sounds really cool! OMG. Chocolate Bread pudding and white chocolate rum sauce sounds like heaven!
