Hi! I am a mother to an 18 year old son with Ulcerative Colitis. He was diagnosed 3 years ago.

Treatments

Asacol Not Working

Didn't do anything.

Azathioprine Working / Worked

It is what he is taking right now.

Colazal Not Working

It made him worse!!!

Flagyl Working / Worked

It did seem to help when he did use it.

Prednisone Working / Worked

Love/hate relationship. It was hard for him to get off of it and the side effects were horrible.

Probiotics Working / Worked

This also seems to help.

Have been married for 25 years to a great guy. He has some blood pressure and cholestrol issues. And I will be having carpal tunnel surgery 12/3/07. So lots going on right now.
