Journal Entry for January 8, 2008 Mood
Tuesday, January 8, 2008
Today was a good day.  Ben has now been in his intensive ABA therapy program 5 days.  He really seems to like going and is happy there so that is a huge relief to me.  I am still sad that he can't be home with me everyday, but I know that is not what he needs right now.  The whole family seems to be adjust well to our new schedule.  I am now working full time in order to pay for his therapy.  My husband has had to change his work schedule so that he can be home when my 5 year old gets home from school.  Alot of adjustments for everyone.  Knowing now that he is starting to get the therapy he needs is such a relief.  I just continue to pray that he will get better!!!

Hi there...Ben goes to a ABA based center in North St. Paul, MN. Although, we are having some issues with our current insurance provider, so we are actually looking into other options also right now. We live in New Richmond WI, which is only about 30 miles from the WI/MN border. Where do you live? Have you registered with the State of Wisconsin Waiver program? There is a waiting list, we signed up I believe last Jan. 08 and we have now been told Ben will be eligble for services starting March 09. If you haven't signed up I would encourage you to do so. The Waiver offers 3 years of intensive therapy and then a reduced amount of therapy thereafter. I would be happy to ask any questions you have - or once I find out where you live in WI, I can do some searching to see what is in your area. Hang in there...
