Becky, I don't see you as an addict, just someone in search of relief from this horrible pain. Just work with you doctor to find the correct dose and stick with it, but do be careful with these medications, because dependence does happen. I say dependence, not addiction there is a difference. Hang in there, some people are on your side.

BECKY, honey, you are NOT an addict. You are responsibly treatting your pain. Please see the Chronic Pain Group on DS, there are good people there who are NOT ignorant of Pain, as some seem to be on some of the other pages. You CAN take your meds and still BE strong. You need to do WHAT EVER IT TAKES to be there for your children, and if that means taking narcotics, so be it. God Bless you. I KNOW where you are, and you are NOT an addict.
