We were out yesterday and saw a reclining chair which we thought would be good for mums back,its so comfortable, we managed to get it home and today when my son came he helped my hubby to get it upstairs,it was so difficult because she has a chair lift as well. I couldnt believe how heavy these chairs are.I was getting worried because they were both huffing and puffing and my husband seemed to be getting out of breath.Anyway they eventually managed it, but then had to get her old chair back down, that seemed to be easier. She is really pleased with it,when she got in it and put it into the reclining position her whole body seemed to relax. I wish we had got one earlier.She is now talking about getting another for the other room. I want one!!
She has started on the osteopososis treatment today and it will take several weeks to improve her back, but hopefully we are on the right track now.
Paul is coming again tomorrow night so his Dad can go out,the weather is going to be bad again so I will have to find him something to do indoors, thats always difficult, hes one of those kids who cant seem to keep their minds on anything for very long, he gets fed up so easily,we could end up baking again!! Why do they like to bake? If its chocolate brownies again thats fatal for me cos I cant resist and I shouldnt have them!!
Has anyone tried them warm on ice cream, yummy!!

I love recliners, always had one in the house...But when I started to do the auction thing, had to convert most of my living room into an office and off it had to go. I still miss it. My Dad was glued to his while he was living. Oh, I am so happy for her. I can just imagine the pain getting it up and the other down.
What type of Treatment is she going to get? I sure hope it helps relieve her pain.
Does Paul like to read at all? Or how about some board games? I know all kids love to bake... Sorry for the bad weather, but we too are to have rain and more rain...ugh...
Brownies and Ice Cream oh made for each other, and of course now I want some...ha ha.

omggggg - you are corruping me, Brownies and ice cream...mmmm.....I have some brownies for the kids AND ice cream..I must resist...*cries in corner*....maybe..jst a little...! .....these recliners, soooo good. My mum has had one about two months and she cant believe how amazingly comfortable it is. It doesnt seem to make her back any better as we thought it might do, but it makes her happier about staying in more - at the moment, with the Olympics and the TV....she is one happy mama....hugs and thanks sooo much for your support...love Cathrynn XX

I just love brownies and with ice cream on top, I am in heaven. So glad that you found such a wonderful chair for your mom. Thank goodness she really feels comfortable in it.

my son was like that when he was small. he had the attention span of a gnat. he liked baking too and painting was always a hit, as well as playing cards. my hubby has made willies coud forest choccy cake (the programme thats on on sunday about the chocolate grower) i have already put 2lbs on. it is delicious. your brownines sound yummy. will have to try making some. have agood weekend.
