Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionMy husband has dealt with depression for years. After the birth of our son, it got much worse, with fleeting thoughts of suicide. He's on disability now, and I have become his care giver in many ways. It's hard on me, too, since I struggle at times with mild depression, and someone has to have it together to take care of our family!

- It's a farce - I force it just to keep things sane around our home.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- We wouldn't be here if not for the support of our families!
- Writing Too Soon to Tell
- Have just started journalling to get my feelings about all this out.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Zoloft helped immensly when I had PPD after my son was born. I was on it for just shy of a year.
Close Depression Supporters
I've been married for two years to my wonderful husband. He's dealt with depression for years, but it got REALLY bad after the birth of our son in May of 2006. He was unable to continue working as of November of 2006, and is now on disability. It's hard to be of support to him, I don't know how to help him.

We lost our second child on 2/28/08 at about 8 weeks. We had just found out that day we were pregnant. The loss is still devestating to us.
