I have two teenage boys, and one of my greatest passions is watching them play baseball. I coached youth baseball for 10 years, until my boys went into high school. Now, I have more time to ride my mountain bike, run and do some fly-fishing again. In my spare time, I volunteer for a brain tumor support group, and spend as much time as I can volunteering for various organizations where I can use the lessons I have learned from some of the challenges I have faced in life to help others get through similar situations.

I'm a 38yo F diagnosed with ACM. When I was first diagnosed, I had nobody to turn to or to ask questions about "brain surgery", and I was scared to death. I had decompression surgery in October 2006, and now seem to be doing exceptionally well. I have had my share of complications, but have found a way to get through them. I vowed that I would get through this and find a way to help others who are going through the same experience.
