Hi. I was originally diagnosed with thyroid disease, hasitmoto's thyroid, years ago and am on medicine. Masses/nodules starting showing on ultrasounds that I still keep getting checked out for. I was supposed to get surgery done in 1/07 but a person hit me again and it was a very serious car accident. I'm still in pain from it and following up. There are really good websites on thyroid and thyroid conditions. I'll have to get back to you with some of it. You may already have visited them. I also have books on it and have been to multiple drs. for treatment. My sister has thyroid and my mother did when living too. About the hair falling out and other things, just wanted to ask you if your dr. a specialist dealing with thyroid or a gen. family physician or internal med. dr.? It does make a difference if they have alot of experience when treating it. I can get back to you with more info etc that I have that may be helpful to you. I've been living with this, thyroid disease, now for a very long time. I'm surpised at the amt. of people that actual have thyroid conditions. Hope you feel better!
I've missed you...welcome back.
Hope you are doing well. Enjoy the rest of your summer; what is left! Elizabeth
I'm 27 years old. I'm a wife, a photographer, a writer and a patient to many doctors. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia when I was a teenager. Since then I have been diagnosed with Lupus (SLE), Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Osteoarthritis and Hashimoto's Encephalopathy. It's been a long and difficult road but I try my best to remain positive. I just started my own photography business, as well as a blog about being young and dealing with a chronic illness. And I keep smiling!
