Jim got the information off my genealogy disk from 2004. Below is the note that I put on Dave's Personal File. I wrote it as it happened, that's why it seems so real, just like yesturday.
Dave suffered from Diabetes since 1991, he never took care of himself in December 2003 he had to have his toes on his left foot amputated because of gangreen in his left foot. He had to have several eye operation due to his diabetes. He went to the hospital on May 21 2004 to have the last Eyesurgery on his left eye, after the operation while still on the operating table he suffered a massive heart attack, he coded and was put on lifesupport right away.He never regained conscienceness, he got phneumonia and had a black bacteria in his lungs. At 5:30am May 30 2004 he took his last breath he was pronoubced died at 5:40. I was by his side most of the time and was there to help comfort him in his dying moments. His brother Blake and my brother Jim was also there also. The rest of the family got there after he had passed away. Dave did get his wish, he wanted to die in his sleep, he was cremated . When I told Dave I knew he has retired, and forgave him for not telling me, tears came from his eyes, the same thing happened when I explained to Dave about the temple, and that all he had to do was walk towards Jesus that he was waiting for him, a few seconds later his blood pressure began to drop and he was dead in a matter of seconds. I had a tree planted in Dave's name it is a Sunset Maple which has beautifully coloured leaves is the first to change colour and the leaves are the last to fall. The plaque reads In Loving Memory of David M. Rawlins June 13, 1953 May 30, 2004 Best FriendsEven though we were divorced, we were still Best Friends in the end. We still loved each other very much. I still feel that way today. I'll NEVER LOVE anyone else, like I did Dave. I went to the cemetery the other day as I mentioned and will be going back in the 26th with flowers. I wish he was here, when I'm so lonely and need someone to talk to. He was never a lovey dovey person, but just his presents in the room was enough to know how much he loved me.
I went to Jim's yesturday then bought an external hard drive for my computer. Jim came back here and moved my stuf over for me I want it mostly for my genealogy pictures and information. The facts are a collection that I've been working on since 1991. I remember when I started, the librarian asked me what I had ans I said NOTHING ! I was starting from scratch. I now have almost 300 people in my genealogy. My next step is to make a website with it on. I know I can do it, I did a website many years ago, with no instructions.
I'm not really looking forward to later this afternoon, because it is Bill's 25th Anniversary BBQ. Here comes the BULL, if you know what I mean. I don't plan on staying very long, just long enough so he can't complain. LeeAnn told me the other day, she's going to telll Bill and Kathy today, because there is so much to do. Just what I thought Bill and Kathy are doing THEIR OWN PARTY. I figured as much, I couldn't see LeeAnn planning it she woudn't know how. It was supposed to be a surprise, YEAH RIGHT ! Should go to be it's 2:47 AM. Hope you are enjoying your weekend !
