Hey Ziff, Thanks for the thumbs up. I was on a BI pap for about 3 to 4 years. I had a very dificult with the mask. I tried a couple of different type but always had the same problem. I would wake up in the night and feel likke my upper lip was on fire and end up having to take the mask off. During me physical about a year and a half ago my Doctor told me my blood sugar was elevated and that it might be a good idea to make some diet changes so I did. I ended up loosing aproximately 50 pounds. My weight is holding around 205 and I am 6' tall. I started by cutting my sugar intake and replacing it with sweet & low in my coffee. I cut softdrinks out and replaced them with Naturally sweetened sparkling water. Then just back the amount I ate and it worked. As my weight came down my Sleep Apnea symptoms disapeared. In answer to your question of if my weight brought on my sleep disorder yes I do. When I was first diagnosed my doctor told me that loosing weight might cure it and I guess it worked.
