      I've been cutting since around 16... i think, can't remember, its just been a long time. I don't know why i cut or why i ever started. I never went through any tramatic episodes growing up or have had anything serious happen to me so at times i think i don't deserve to cut. Through SMA meetings i discoverd that I am also a compulsive face (pimple) picker which i never knew was part of SI. so i am here to help with 2 forms of SI

      Zoloft Not Working
      got really paranoid, freaked out, major insomnia, hated it
      Wellbutrin Somewhat Helpful
      it was ok but felt like i was stuck in this middle state that wouldn't let me have any real ups or down ( i could never truly get happy)... & i gained 30lbs from it too
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
      my cutting is brought on mostly by rage which stemmed from being over stressed, so doing something active when i feel like i am getting close to that point really helps
    • Close Asthma
      Type: Adult Asthma

      have had it since i was born, it has gotten more under control since i don't play sports anymore but still suffer on really HOT and COLD days and is more sports induced (when i just do a reg workout @ the gym)

      realized lately that once i started to really trying to watch and maintain my weight (senior year in high school) is when i really started gaining wait. was at my heaviest when i graduated college (265 lbs) & have lost 50 since graduating (june 2005) but still have ~40/50 i'd like to loose

      it is working really well! it is not the miracle pill but if u are working out like u should and try and cut back on your eating it helps out a great deal

      worked temporarily but once i stopped using it gained the wait right back (lost 15 and gained it as fast as i lost it)
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
      Cardio mixed with wieght lifting is ultimate for loosing weight (efficiently and effectivly) and is great for relieving stress (and also help with other factors in life) I run 3-4 days a week, swim for at least an hour every wednesday and sunday morning (to help with my asthma and to give my body a rest from running), yoga every saturday and then biking at least once a week after running. helps with an overall body work out.

      over weight by 50lbs and want/need to loose it, tried everything, know that food is my biggest problem with why i can't loose weight

      limit myself to dirnking pop once a month, limit myself to eating french fries, potato chips and ice cream once a month too. haven't ate red meat since 7th grade
      Eating Healthier Foods Working / Worked
      already eat alot of salad, but starting to eat more vegies (with sandwhiches), more beans (fiber), more soy products, cutting back on dairy
      Eat Less Working / Worked
      terrible at keep track but trying... well attempting... well crosses my mind :)
      Weight Watchers Somewhat Helpful
      lost 10 lbs then started gaining it again. on the program 5 years ago, considering starting it again but $ is the issue
