Interests
I am big into music, primarily the current hard rock stuff - Shinedown, Papa Roach, Disturbed, etc. I like classic rock, pop, alternative and a hint of country, too. I love action/drama/thriller-type movies. The Die Hard, Terminator and Bourne movies are some of my favorites. Although my favorite movie of all time is The Sound of Music...what can I say? I like to read fiction novels, but it is sooo hard to find time these days. I turn to TV for entertainment instead. I am a HUGE Chicago sports fan, and am very devoted to my Cubbies and my Chicago Bears. Now you understand that I truly do have a high tolerance for pain! :-)

OMgosh! i know this is random! but the dog in your picture is kind of like mine! i know this isn't amazing or anything, but my dog is a total one off, like a multi-multi-multi crossbreed! it's just reassuring to know he was born instead of hatched :P anyways, sorry for the randomness!

Im glad you are doing ok though. I know things are bad my hubby got laid off 3 weeks ago. Hes just doing work on a rent house for someone right now. Sorry it took a while to get back to you i have been down with CFS lately and girl i can sleep 24-7 if they let me-LOL Hope everything works out for you!

Close Back Pain
I have had severe back problems since December of 1992. I just had a spinal fusion done in July 2007. Still not sure what the end result will be, but I am trying to remain hopeful. I documented the full story in my first journal entry.

- doesn't interfere with my day - no "medicine head" and reduces pain

- Loosens me up if I am stiff and sore. Does not eliminate pain.

- helped with everything but nerve pain
- Naproxen Not Working
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful

- helped maintain flexibility

- Seems to take the edge off while I am at work.
Close Lesbian Relationship Challenges
I am in a long-term, committed relationship. Both our families are very religious and this causes unbelievable challenges. We try to remove ourselves from the pressure and anxiety that our families create, but it's tricky.

Open Family & Friends of Cancer Patients
My 61 year old neighbor is battling her second bout with brain tumors. She is undergoing chemo and I have been trying to help out as much as possible. I need to educate myself on her condition.
