I started my NA class. I didn't understand how to hear a blood pressure for a while, but now I can do it just fine.
Right now, I'm sitting pretty high in the class as far as my grades. I turn all my homework in on time and all of my quiz scores are high.
The teacher's name is Micki Dettman. My mom doesn't like her because she called her to discuss a problem, and Micki hung up on my mom and didn't resolve the issue. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
It's sorta funny to me that now there's a bit of trouble with me because Micki said the first day of class that I was going to be her "problem child." She was joking because she couldn't remember my name.
I'm enjoying the class and am enthusiastic about completing the work. It's all pretty much fun to me. Micki says that I can start applying for jobs as early as after the second time I go to clinical training. I think that's pretty cool! I'll get my license in November right around my birthday.
Driving, I absolutely hate! I still have my permit but I don't like driving at all! I just wish I could walk everywhere, but living in the boondocks of nowheresville makes that sorta hard. I don't know if it's the head on collision I was in or what, but I just don't like driving!
I miss my grandma. She's ok, it's just I haven't seen her in a while. She has a lot of fun with the kitties, so that's good. She has 2 kittens and 1 big, fat 8 yr old cat. They all play together and she just loves it! I'm glad she has something to occupy her time.
I guess that's all that's going on in my life right now. I'm not online much anymore. I broke my phone a while ago when my mom and I got into a fight because I was angry. I have a major temper and it gets me into trouble sometimes. No time for anger management or therapy though. lol! ttyl

CNA classes start Monday, 9/21/09 OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE COME THIS FAR! I'll be completely done with the classes on November 14th, which is only 5 days from my 19th birthday!
It's been 5 months, 2 weeks, and 1 day since my last brain surgery (April 3rd, 2009.)
It's also been 4 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days since my last surgery (April 28th, 2009.)
Mom says that if after my CNA classes are finished, I want to go on a road trip, she'll get a long haul truck driving job and take me with!
If the long haul trip doesn't pan out or I decide I don't want to do it right now, then college classes start in January of 2010!
I'm a little scared about going to class because I haven't been in a real classroom environment for almost 3 years now. I don't know what I'm scared of... I don't think I'll get made fun of like I did in high school. I guess I just sort of think I wont be able to do it. Mom says I'll blow everyone right out of the water with how much I already know though.

When I went to college, I found it was different than highschool. There were no "cool" groups and whatnot. There were groups of people who lived in residence at the college and people who lived locally by the college. I found that people were more dedicated because they are paying for their education and doing something of their choosing.

I was really intimidated when I first went to college and I was 28!!! The first couple of weeks were kind of tough, but there are so many people in the same boat, you just support each other. You ride horses don't you? When you are jumping a really high fence, our first instinct is to rush and get a whole lot of momentum and fly over it. That's not how it is successfully done. You take your time on the approach get your horse real square with the obstacle and THEN you fly over it.
Take each step one at a time... You may be like me and surprise everybody by how well you do... including yourself. Love and Blessings, Diane
