I have a wonderful 26 year old daughter who is now married. I work with special needs students. I was married for almost 23 yrs. and my husband stunned me in Nov. 2006 when he wanted a divorce. Have had some problems dealing with the situation but it is getting better every day!

Close Breakups & Divorce
In November of 2006, my husband informed me one day that after 23 years of marriage he wanted a divorce. Since then in less than 2 months the divorce is final. I was blindsided by all this and not really given any real reason that he wanted out. Since this time I feel as if I am barely hanging on. I am not sure of what to believe in life anymore. Up till this time he was always telling me how much he loved me and how he couldn't live without me. Maybe I will never understand.

- We went he didn't want to so the counselor said that he couldn't help us if he wasn't willing to work at our marriage
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- I am seeing a good counselor that is helping me but feels I have not really grieved enough. I have trouble with that I tend to hold it in.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- My family and friends are the only reason that I am still going on.
- Support Groups Working / Worked
- This is a great group that helps you with all your questions about your feelings and problems you may encounter going through a divorce. Support groups are everywhere/USA
