I was sitting on the sofa around 5/pm this afternoon watching a Lifetime movie. Shelley was here with me and Jeff and my hubby were in the garage. Someone knocked on the door and I asked Shelley to get up and see who was there. I was into that movie and thought it was probably someone to see George. She went and opened the door and there stood Cathy, Scott and Brayden!!! I about fell out of the chair. All I could do was stare. They had driven all the way from Atlanta to see us for Thanksgiving as a surpise. Shelley was the only one who knew and she had done a wonderful job of keeping the secret!! I have NEVER had such a wonderful surprise in my entire life. They will be here until Saturday. Of course Brayden is wound up like a clock! It's his bedtime and he is still going strong. Cathy had told him they were coming to Grandma's house and when they got to the driveway...his little head popped up and he said..."See, I told you we're here.....This is Grandma's house." He never forgets a thing. So this is going to be a great Thanksgiving after all. Still no news about Jeff finding work. Shelley only has three radiation treatments this week and she is glad for the break. When this these three are done she will have 10 more to go. Also today is the 100th day that she quit smoking~~~ This has been a great week end...and see...I was moaning and groaning....Sometimes God doesn't give us what we ask for but He always gives us just what we need.

LOL you are fibbing..You weren't sitting on the sofa I was! You were sitting in dad's chair to be exact with maggie curled up at your feet and we were watching a LMN movie!! Jeff was in the other chair and dad was on the sofa right before Cathy pulled in the driveway! Jeff and Dad got up to go outside and it was just you and me and maggie when the knock at the front door!! I am glad you were suprised tho, you really needed that distraction from reality for a little while! Love you mom!!

I feel your JOY!!! What a wonderful surprise! Just want to wish you all a great Thanksgiving....with NO worries only peace and a house full of love. XO So happy to hear your daughter is still going strong with being smoke free!!! Wow, I'll be putting them down again.....each time i've tried I learn a little more about myself and how I can be better prepared to succeed. I have to be prepared for ANYTHING to go wrong this time! I've missed you. Sorry for not keeping up as much as I'd like to......seems so many things need my attention lately.
