Just an ordinary woman who is devoted to her family. I have three grown children. My oldest is a daughter and she is currently in treatment for breast cancer. My husband is in remission with non-hodgkins lymphoma . I have fibromyalgia and type 2 diabetes. My greatest joy at the present time is my two year old grandson. Planning to move south whenever we sell our house and I can't wait! I am a Christian and proud of it.
I love to clean house..and in the summer I work in my yard. I have so many interests that I could never list them all. I love to read, do crosswords, Sudoku, surf on the computer, and lunch with girlfriends. I love shopping and am a self-proclaimed QVC addict!

I was diagnosed with Fibro about 8 years ago...I have had a pretty mild case. I do feel tired most of the time and can't sleep for the pain in my back and hips. Some days are harder than others.
My husband was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma in 2004..he had agressive treatment at MD Anderson in Houston TX...and is in remission now for a year. I would enjoy hearing anything you have to share as far as your experiences with Lymphoma
I was diagnosed with type 2 about 8 years ago...at first I controlled it with diet, then went on Metformin which I struggled with for a year..and then just decided to contol it as best I could without medications. That ended about 2 yrs ago. I was on Avandia for a while then switched to Actos. The Actos was discontinued two months ago and since then I have not taken any medication. I need to start on something soon, but the side effects are all so alarming to me.
I was caregiver to my father for over two years. He passed away in 2004 just one month before I found out my husband had cancer. He is now in remission, but I have had my fair share of caregiving....it's the hardest job in the world, but it has so many rewards.
I had MOHS surgery two years ago for Basal cell on my nose. It turned out good. I had to also have a skin graft because it was so large. From the outside it looked so small...just a speck, but I guess underneath was the size of a quarter. I am glad I had it checked when I did.
I have had small spots of psoriasis for about 10 years or longer. Never knew what kind. It comes and goes. I never have more than 5 or 6 spots. The steroid creams take care of it most of the time. I also have scalp psoriasis but not often. I have only had that a few times.
