About Me
wife, mother, grandmother, librarian. Want to see prison reform. My son is in jail awaiting trial. We know he will get at least 5 years. He has lost his wife and child. She will have nothing to do with him and is doing everything to ruin the loving relationship he had with his six year old daughter. We live in Illinois, his is in Columbus, Ohio. We travel there once a month to see him. What my son did was wrong but he needs treatment not prison - at least not five years.

Interests
walking, reading mysteries and painting. I have been volunteering for 25 years with developmentally disabled adults. I have another son who is borderline developmentally disabled who got caught up in a mortgage loan fraud scam and then had his identity stolen. I thought life was supposed to get better as we get older. It's not.

Close Families of Prisoners
My son is in jail awaiting tial. He will end up doing at least five years. He has lost his wife and child. We live over 350 miles from where he is and can only see him once a month. I miss him so much. Wish I had been tougher when he was younger.

- Talking Somewhat Helpful
- I have two very good friend who listen and don't judge. I have learned that even though a person is a good friend you must be careful what you talk to them about. Many good people have preconceived ideas about certain things.
Close Autism / Autism Spectrum
I have a son, 38 who was never diagnosed with Autism but I suspect he is a high functioning autistic. I am looking to find a way to have him diagnosed. When he was in school, we had diagnosis from normal to developmentally disabled to autistic but no definite diagnosis.
Open Mortgages & Foreclosures
I have a mildly developmentally impaired son who through hard work had built up a great credit rating. To make a long story short he is a "straw buyer". Some sharpie lawyer and broker told him he would be helping poor people with bad credit obtain housing. Then they forged his name on other papers. It has been a nightmare
