I wrote this poem several years ago and hope that you will enjoy it and that it may give comfort and reassurance into the meaning of life. It goes as follows: LIFE'S JOURNEY I pray that God will bless you At the start of each new day And grant you health and happiness And friends to share your way As you journey through this life To reach that Ultimate Goal May you find peace and happiness Deap within your soul The road is long and narrow Full of trials and sufferings too But you must continually endure it As the appropriate thing to do Each of us has a tunnel Either filled with thorns or roses We must travel through the thorny tunnel To achieve heaven and the roses. I have Ehlers-Danlos 3 and have had jaw, hip, knee, rib, and knee dislocations and subluxations. I was born with severe pectus excavatum, a ribcage deformity, related to Ehlers Danlos/Marfan's. I have a huge surgery to repair it.
I've had very serious jaw pain, disclocations, and a slipped disk. As I am getting older, my jaw has tightened up, and I am having less problems. I was told this would happen.
Scoliosis and degenerative disk disease of neck and back.
My 85 year old mother has stage 5 Alzheimers. She is very sweet and cooperative. My parents have a great(wacky) sense of humor, which definately helps. I brought them over some great organic tomato soup to try. My mom casually looked at the label and said, "Well how about that, they are making soup out of tomatoes now!" She once was a great cook and would make tomato soup from scratch.
I have dealt with huge stigma associated with fioricet. My new neurologist is giving crap about it. It is such a benign drug compared to things like prendisone and diclocfenac that can destroy your stomach. I have had so much severe pain and I have gotten so good at dealing with it, that I have no concept of "on a scale of 1 to 10 how much pain...". I have no clue!
I have been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos and benign Marfan's. It is always confusing about what is the difference between Ehlers Danlos 3 and Hapermobility Syndrome. It is my thought that not enough is known about these disorders. I scored the maximum nuber of points on the Beighton test. I also belong to the Ehlers Danlos community.
I have a twisted S-curve. Pretty common with Ehlers-Danlos.
My mother died Friday, May 18th from complications of advanced Alzheimer's. At times I am like a rock and other times crying like a waterfall.
