Hi my name is vickie i have had crps for 5 years it started in my arms now it is in my whole body get a second oppinion. With me i got diagnosed and lost my insurance so i havent seen a doctor in 4 years now its through my whole body i am here for support i am in chronic pain to its nice you have a wife for support like i have my husband for support take care right soon

If u question this drs motives u need to seek out a different one not all drs are familar with rsd and they dismiss symptoms because little is truely known about how this disease spreads what stages happen when what is know is it has a mind of its own and it can jump. Interview your drs. ask if they have experience with this and how much, try and have a neurologist, pain doc and if need be a nero surgeon all working together it sometimes takes an army to address all the issues. Be stong

I read your post and don't know how you take so much of the meds. I guess everyone is different--because it wipes me out. The pain is too intense at times, but I have to work. I guess that I am lucky, because my boss will let me go home when I can't stand the pain. Anyway, my thoughts are with you and hang in there. All the best, Russell

Close Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy
I injured my shoulder while at the beach nearly two years ago. I had an operation last July in which I had my shoulder manipulated and part of my bone shaved away near the rotator cuff. After the operation I wasn't improving if anything I had more pain. To cut to the end I was diagnosed with RSD I have seen so many specialists and physio therapists but still feel my life is hell. I can't remember a pain free day. I

- Hasn't taken pain away, always tired, brain can't multi task anymore

I had a shoulder injury in 2006. I subsequently had an operation to correct this. Unfortunately I now have RSD. So pain now is definately is a daily battle
Treatments
- Heat Working / Worked
- Works temporarily for a short time
- Meditation Working / Worked
- Some relief when pain is minimal
- Morphine Working / Worked
- Works to a degree however am on larger dosages as becomes inaffective
- Neurontin Somewhat Helpful
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- Hydrotherapy some effect, have seen many many physios
