What I See
I see kids,
hating their parents.
hating their parents.
I see dogs,
hating cats.
I see sisters,
hating sisters.
I see brothers,
hating brothers.
I see a mouse,
hating the hidden snake.
I see teens,
begging to die.
But most of all
I see hope.
I see hope.
I see hope flowing,
drifting around to save us all.
Yes I know I suck but I wanted to write it here before I threw away the hard copy, hand wrtten. Time to say goodbye to it, constructive critisim welcome...but be nice I was 13 when I wrote this now I'm almost 17.

It's good Kyna, especially for 13, hell it's good for 31, and my favorite part has to be that you see hope where others may not. I like the feeling it gave me, like hope was something almost tangible.
BTW I have a dreaded dental appt. coming up Jan.21, I have so many teeth that will probably need pulled, and so much work that needs done, I'm taking a load of ativan before the appt.

Kyna, I would love to see more of your poetry!! It IS good for 13. I agree with Kon. The entire poem is set up by what you see, hate, survival, and wanting to die. It sets up a definite mood to the poem. But then you read the last line and it changes everything and I love how the poem does a 180, so to speak. Hope, we all need it ti live, to survive. Great!!
