Its great to hear that you are doing so well after two years. How is your little one doing now? You are so strong and to go through what you went through and have a baby to care for - well, that just makes me lost for words. Your children will inherit your strength and I hope when (or if) I have babies then I can be such an inspirational mum like yourself x x x
Thanks so much for saying hi, my doctors have not given me any support or answered any questions as to how i was supposed to feel after the experience - hence the late reply of this email. After i left the hospital i had enormous chest and back pain and what felt like pleuracy, i ended up putting down to a bad bed and lack of sleep. I went to the doctor and she said it was usual as my body was getting used to my new lungs. Just as well I didnt listen to her and went to a&e... severe chest infection/ pneumonia, just got out of hospital yesterday, was in there for a week!! Im so sorry to hear of your experience and family history, I didnt know one existed until it happened. How are you feeling now physically and mentally? I noticed that after the experience I tried to joke about it and forget it, it wasnt till i saw a friend with double kidney failure who told me it would hit me in 3 months. Sorry for waffling! Have a lovely weekend
Thankyou so much for your lovely hug. Your experience sounds so scary, especially after having a new baby to take care of, how are you now? xx
Getting the news felt like I was in a dream almost. Its difficult when you get the news when you're an adult. Just hang in there, and good luck with the specalist. Im gonna need to find one myself.
I suffered a massive saddle pulmonary embolism on 2nd August, 6 weeks afetr giving birth to my second son. I was taken to Intensive Care and underwent thromlysis and then given heparin and now warfarin. It has to have been the worst experience of my life. i have been suffering a lot of anxiety since i have been out of hospital
On 2nd August 2007 i suffered a massive Pulmonary Embolism 6 weeks after giving birth to my second baby. It was a life threatening PE nad i had to undergo thrombolysis which saved my life. After I came home from hospital i had to go to hospital on three ocassions because i thought i was dying. It was so scary because some of the symptoms i was experiencing were much the same as when i collapsed with the Pulmonary Embolism.
In 2003, I had an emergency operation to remove a prolapsed disc. Recovery took about 6 months and had very little problems afterwards. However in October 2007 a few months after giving birth to my second son I started to get a lot of back pain again, which has been there now for a year. Have had an M.R.I scan which shows degenerative disc disease and arthritis.
Just been diagnosed with scoliosis - need support.
