      From CarmCo November 13

Well said in your journal. You described life with MS perfectly. I tell people I no longer things a day at a time. I take it minute by minute sometimes. I too am trying to be greatful.....greatful I have great friends and family who support me and greatful this isn't a fatal disease as some have.....greatful for the opportunity to grow as a person to be a bigger and better person who doesn't get mired down in the petty things of life like I did before I got MS. Hang in there. You are doing a great job. :)

I don't think most people get what it is to be truly greatful. I try to find time each day to immerse myself in all that I am greatful for. This is the greatest gift I received from MS. When the docotors thought is was a brain tumor last year with a poor pronosis feeling greatful was better than any anti-anxiety medicine they could give me. I remember giving my youngest daughter a bath and feeling the most intense feeling of gratitude about being able to do this with her because as we know, life can change in an instant.

I was diagnosed approximately 9 years ago. It began with double vision and after 6 months they surgically corrected my vision to the best of their ability. I would say my diagnosis came within a year or so of the first symtom. They diagnosed me after my whole right side of my body went numb. I was fortunate to still have my mobility and was able to continue teaching Physical Education, lifeguard on the beach, and exercise regularily. Recently things have changed.

side effects are the typical flue like symtoms. I think it was helpful in prolongnging my ability to stay active.
