About Me
I am trying to keep my sense of humor. I used to be a very active person. I find myself able to do less and less. The IVIG doesn't seem to be helping as much as it did. I seem to get every side effect from medications. I try to keep a positive attitude. Prayer and family help.

I’m With You
Thank you so much for the kind words. My father was dianosed late in the game and once it got in his respitory system it was hard to control. Although he had another disease too. Mom and I just want to learn as much as we can about it. Thanks again and God Bless!
Hug
Please know that you are in my prayers.I am going through a very bad period myself at the moment and can just reach out to you spiritually and give you a big hug.

Close Myasthenia Gravis
I had a strange sensation in my face and was so frightened I went directly to my doctor's office. After several tests the results were in. I was diagnosed in November 2006 and had a thymectomy before Christmas. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I thought I was fine. I always struggled with my energy level, but I thought it was just me trying to do it all. I did lots of research. Things I remembered over the last 20 years finally made sense.
Treatments
- IVIG Somewhat Helpful
- I have some improvement in my vision, which for me was the worst part. When I get tired or stressed I notice it in my vision. It's scary. My energy level improves some, but I still tire easily. I am hoping to get enough of a boost to have more good days.
- Thymectomy Somewhat Helpful
- I did not have a normal incision. My incision ran under my breasts, which were lifted up so they could saw my breast bone. I expressed concern about the scars, so I was given this option at the last minute. Not something they usually do. It's been almost a year and I still have issues with pain and I cannot wear a normal bra.
Close Trigeminal Neuralgia
I have had 3 episodes lasting about 2 1/2 weeks so far this year. Wind seems to be the trigger. I have had dental issues but I finally was propertly diagnosed.
Treatments
- Nerve Blocks Working / Worked
- I only use Tegretol when I have an episode. It takes the edge off the pain, but doesn't stop it. Once I've gotten through the worst of it I switch to Advil. I get every side effect so I HATE taking Medications.
