As I look around my life ,so much seem surrealistic. I know that I shall be moving on soon, yet whil I am here and probably after I am gone no difference will be impacted. I have watched people go on their way oblivious to anyone but their , what I call "little people" needs and thoughts. We have become so generation X and what is funny is when 2 generation X'ers meet. it's like they think,"what's wrong with that ass". Never realizing they are just reflecting back upon themselves their behavior. This is such a painful commentary to the current history of the most richest period in the history of our times. We can walk in space and walk on the moon, but who cares anymore about walking hand in hand with a needy spirit and sharing som love with them !
We have just become reactive puppets , brainwashed by a sociey of reactive obsfucations and liars. Zombies that are mentally dead , just waiting for their bodies to catch up with them. This is our time and our opportunity to live. I did my Master's thesis on the topic, "Is there life after birth". I compared people who exist, merely doing the same old same old and the quality of life, vs people who actually live, with the full spectrum of emotions and whatever that entails . Many of us refuse to see the pain we live and how we become.
Sorry family, if I started "throwing up" ,but what will it take for us to take back our humanness and reclaim our lives. We are all hurting, but we proactive fight on. Together we will achieve that which we cannot do alone.

Hi Phil...firstly, you may think that 'nothing has impacted' before or after you have left..but think of all those lives you have touched within your work, your friends, your family... Do you remeber the Angel on the bridge in 'A Wonderful Life' when life was shown without 'him' there..?The impact was enormous! You have made an almightly ripple on the pond of life, and I should think many people, who you now hardly remember will have been so glad to have had your input into their lives!..many could have changed direction for the better because of you!! I agree to a certain extent to what you say about people and their 'little needs'..but I truly believe we 'see' how we think about 'out there'..There are so many good, kind, giving, loving people..like here on DS, who need to be taken into the equation too..what we look for we will find..(and I am still keeping a realistic hat on here)! If we concentrate on the better qualities in people around us...I believe we will see more of it. What we fear we attract...I am reminded here of John Lennon's 'Imagine'..or someone else could say I'm just a 'Cockeyed Optimist' (South Pacific)...the choice is ours!! Phil, you seem to be taking on the problems of the world. that is God's job, your job is to live life,laugh, love and teach others how to do the same. There will always be groups of people that are oblivious to reality and dont care about knowing, there will always be those who live on the dark side, lying ,stealing, robbing, hurting and are only out to take what they want, and yes there are some just walking in a sleep, through life not really living just going through the motions. My friend, you have made your way to the jumping off point, ready to fly and are leaving behind several cocoons filled with the sleeping, not to worry, they will figure it out some day.. Fly high! Phil,
You seem to say what others are afraid to say. There is much wisdom in what you say. Working in a corporate job with tons of "X'ers" I can relate. They are quick with putdowns, but seem to think empathy shows a weakness.
I needed to read this today as I hope to be moving on this year and it scares me sometimes. You are such an inspiration to help me find my courage and strength to do what I know will lead to my happiness.
I hope you will always find happiness and continue spreading these kind, loving words! :)
