Reflection on Sunday Gospel, Mark 6:1-6 - Jesus was not respected in His hometown because the people knew Him since He was a child. At least they thought they did. Their preconceived thoughts of Him blocked their opportunity to experience His true Presence as the Only Son of God, and not only of Mary and Joseph. Sometimes our own prejudices may stand in the way of truly knowing a person as a son or daughter of God.
