Yesterday, for my birthday, my three kids with a lot of help from my wife did some of the most thoughtful things for me. I am truly blessed. "I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you, praying always with joy in my every prayer for all of you..." - Philippians 1:3-4
Reflection on Sunday Gospel, Mark 12:38-44 - What matters is not how much we give, but what we give. There is a difference. Jesus challenges us to give it our all, not just our surplus, but our entire self. Giving from our surplus is easy, but to give from our poverty, our emptiness, is the challenge and is always fulfilling.
