I am a 49 year old woman who is currently working on taking control of her life. I have a wonderful 21 year old daughter. I am working (not by choice) as a part time file clerk in human resources. Have many challenges to overcome but, I plan on always getting up one more time than I fall down.

Type: Clinical (Major) Depressioni was sexually abused by my father and brothers and cousing this went on from age two till fourteen or so. i have been in and out of therapy since i was eighteen. currently i am looking for anyone familar with alpha stim as a therapy for depression. anyone used it? how did it work? medications don't seem to do much other than take the edge off. i work full time but lately my ADLs are suffering. i welcome any response

Close Sexual Abuse
I was sexually abused by my father and brothers and cousins. Started near age two and continued till age fourteen or so. Working with psychotherapist to try to get unstuck from the then and there to be able to live the here and now. My mother was an alcoholic. Last of six chilren. Currently interested in finding out about alpha-stim as a treatment for the depression tht I fight and seems like I have always fought. Don't know what else to write.

- able to talk openly and honestly with my therapist...helping me to be able to experience feelings without falling apart.

- helps to journal, write poetry etc. feels like I am able to pour feelings from inside myself out onto the page.
