I am a 25 yr old female who is living at home to help take care of my two sisters, one with cerebral palsy and 1 who is in her terrible TEENS. I'm glad that I get to do this, but at times it is very overwhelming and I just want my own life. I work very hard, but am not making enough money to move out and not sure if I should because my mother needs help. I am the bad guy of the house bc I have to discipline. Are there any support groups for people with mentally challenged siblings.?

Mariahalexis, my heart goes out to you, as I have a 14year old nephew who has Asperger's, and a older brother who's mentally challenged, and if I didn't have God I'm pretty sure I would have lost it by now. My heart goes out to you and Jana (the exact same name of my dear sis who passed away last year.)bear, and I pray that God will send you both the strength that you need to make it each and everyday. 'Hugs', Prayers, Flowers, and 'all' the rest.

I know how it feels. I care for my sister in wheelchair. no other members help. really hard. LOTS of HUGS...

I am a 25 yr old sister of a sibling with Cerebral Palsy and am helping take care of my siblings bc my mom is a single mother. Very blessing but also overwhelming at times.
