    • About Me

epilepsy jumped into my life when i was 22, 7 to 9 months after i was honorably discharged from the marine corps. I'm a marine war vet of desert shield/desert storm. I have seizures because of scar tissue on the temporal lobes. In 93 the right side was removed and the greatly reduced the amount that i have. Then in 95 i got the VNS, and that didn't do too much for me. Then i entered the research study and the responsive neurostimulator (RNS) was implanted on 12-22-06.then the VNSwas removed also

      Ativan Working / Worked
I had a complex partial seizure (petit mal or absence). I was in the total confusion for longer than 45 minutes, so my mom called my epileptologist. She told my mom to give me a ativan (I take the generic Lorazepam) pill. Then about a minute or two later, the confusion stopped on a dime! But the side effects are dry mouth, and hard to pee. It comes out in drops, or in a real light stream.
