I'm scared too. I am currently on my 3rd bout in 6 months with MSRA. 3 abcesses - 3 surgeries - 3 large open wounds on my backside - it has pretty much wiped out my work and social life and strained my marriaige. I am currently on Vancomycin infusions 2x a day and will find out tommorrow if I can go to oral antibiotics. Other than that the Infectious disease doctor advised me to wash with anitbacterial soap, use lots of moisturizer to keep my skin from drying out, and take vit a & e. I wish you all the best in your fight against MSRA and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi. I know what you are going through. I have a "topic" on here called "please try this!!!" I had mrsa about 3 years ago. I became deathly ill. I so scared. I took olive leaf and I was cured. I have not had ANY problems since. The stuff is amazing!! It is not a drug. You can get it online at swansonvitamins.com. Thats where I buy it, but they might have it at the health food store. Medical doctors dont know what to do. And they say there is no cure and you might still get outbreaks or "sores" after you take their drugs or IV stuff. But it is healthier and safer with olive leaf in my opinion. Olive leaf also builds up your immune system. You can google search it on the computer and read all about it. I hope you try this and all works out for you.

Close High Blood Pressure
I am a 400lb male. Lost 200 lbs 2 years ago and have gained most of it back. Have never been on high blood pressure medication up until 12/06 when I had an instance of sinus tachycardia and went to the ER. Now I'm on 50mg daily of Toprol XL. Side effects are harsh for me, most notably completely loss of desire for intimacy. :-(
Close MRSA
30yo M, developed skin sores/lesions, frequent abscesses, boils, sty's on my eyelids. Been given Doxycycline on 10 day cycles.
Treatments
- Bactrim DS Working / Worked
- Developed allergy to sulfa.
Open Sleep Apnea
30yo, just recently diagnosed with sleep apnea, still awaiting a machine and titration study!
