      From slees September 23

Thank you for sharing your story. I feel the same way with the symptoms you have and also about the fact you keep your illness to yourself except on this web-site. I'm still able to work and for that I am happy. My co-workers have no clue. I need the support on this site so much! Again thank you!

    • Open Dry Eyes

I have had dry eyes and mouth for years but never thought much about it. The wind always made my eyes water but they never hurt. Then I started to have eye swelling and bad redness. One eye doctor said it was from Allergies and gave me eye drops. Another eye doctor said it was Blepharitis. It was not until a Rheumatologist diagnosed me with Sjogren's that I connected the eyes to my auto immune disease. I had to ask my eye doctor for the Schirmer's test for dry eyes.

Id suggest being proactive meaning have the Schermirs test. It will determine if the dryness is affecting your cornea. I take Rostasis 2X a day and use PM eye oitment now so my corneas dont detatch. The combination works really well for me. It is a lot easier treating a problem before it gets as bad as mine got before getting the proper treatment. I also have eye plugs in my lower tear ducks.
